INDEPENDENT HIP-HOP LABEL RU1 RECORDS SETTING SUMMER 2007 ON FIRE

New Jersey based independent Hip-Hop label, RU1 Records is setting the month of July off right with two of the year’s most anticipated events: The CD Listening Party for the label’s premier emcees’ Blackout and Response and their debut album, “No Excuses,” in New York City’s Crash Mansion, July 10, 2007, at 7PM, followed thereafter by RU1 Records’ Four Year Anniversary Party, located in one of the city’s hottest spots, BLVD, beginning at 10PM.

Since its inception in the Hip-Hop scene in 2003, RU1 Records has clearly made its mark selling over 20,000 units independently as well as being recognized with the Underground Music Award for 2005 Independent Label of the Year and the 2006 Best Live Performance Award. This has made RU1 Records one of the fastest growing Urban labels in the game and will be further proven through the events the label has lined up for this summer.

Produced by event production firm Harlem Fusion, Blackout and Response’s CD Listening Party, as well as the label’s Four Year Anniversary Party, will count with the presence of some of the industry’s best known entertainers in New York City. Such is the case with Jesse Atkinson, CEO of Urban Threshold and Founder of The Underground Music Awards, who is slated to host the CD Listening Party, bringing along his extensive experience in media and Hip-Hop to pump up the crowd.

Hot 97’s “DJ Envy” and Murda Mamis/Don Diva Magazine’s “1st Lady El,” are set to host RU1 Records’ Anniversary Party with La Kalle’s “Heavy Hitter” DJ Rey-Mo and DJ 187 from DJ Kings also ready to provide hot entertainment for everyone present.

Ru1 Records has no doubt the fiercest events in store this summer demonstrating why they are one of the nation’s most promising and hyped Urban labels.
